University of Birmingham Geology

Hi, I'm hopefully starting the Palaeontology with Geology course at Birmingham this year. I was wondering if anyone else has applied for the course since I've not really heard anyone online discussing it.
At the moment I'm taking A-Level Geology alongside Geography and Fine Art, but I'm a little conscious that I might not get the grade I need for geography and art (geology is the only one I'm actually confident in lol). The Uni did send me an email saying that they'd likely accept me if I got a lower grade, so hopefully it all goes well on results day.
Any advice for Uni life would be great, or if you're also applying for Birmingham

I graduated from UoB Geology last year. II think about 7 or 8 students were on that particular course last year so almost no matter your grade I'm sure you'll get in.

Hiya!! This was posted a few months ago, but I was wondering if you had any updates?
I'm also looking to study geology at uni (currently in Y12) but knowing how things have progressed for you would certainly give some confidence...

Do you mind me asking if getting into the course was at all competitive? Did this impact the grade requirements when you applied?
Also (and this is quite off-topic as I know you mentioned you weren't as confident), do you have any subject-specific tips for geography a level?

Hope all is well, geology is a very niche but very rewarding subject!!)
