Nebdn osce exam 2024

Hi guys! I just sat the Osce workbook exam. Did anyone else sit this today and what are your thoughts/do you think you did well?

I think i did too. My course provider gave me the same sort of materials you mentioned.

I wasn’t expecting half the questions to be like they were and honestly I had to make educated guesses for most of them.

Fingers crossed the zoom aspect is easier and we can win marks back with that!!

i have no idea what the pass mark is but i do know that it is an overall grade.

So you have to get a certain amount right in each of them to pass it all together but the marks from both of them come together to make the final grade if that makes sense. That’s what one of our providers told us anyway.

She said you don’t lose marks for missing stuff out or getting them wrong as such but you have to get a certain amount correct in both of them to pass.

I found the whole thing a little odd too. Seems so strange that virtually no questions came up on actual treatments which I was told it was all about. The one that did come up on medical emergencies was very repetitive too.

I’m super anxious about my zoom now. Judging by the materials I was told to study for the past two exams, which were basically irrelevant, I’ve not got much hope in the this last exam 🤦🏼*♀️.

It doesn’t seem very fair to be honest, everyone i’ve spoke to says they found it so hard. i’m hoping they bring the grade boundaries right down so hopefully we will still pass. I didn’t even know what the last question was asking me 😂

I was told to focus on dental charting, instruments etc but some of the questions I was not expecting at all! Also some really long questions like choosing between hygienist, nurse, technician for what felt like the most part of the exam. I remember thinking the last question was weird aswell, now i am really nervous for the zoom any advice?

Yes same for me, i am also very worried for the zoom as have not done it yet either. I’m just focusing on the scenarios my course provider has given me and hoping it is one of those :smile:
