accounting and spanish qub with no a level maths

i chose history, spanish, biology and english lit for AS (my school makes us do 4 for AS, probably going to drop lit) because i initially wanted to do law and spanish at qub.
however ive recently lost any passion for law and am considering going into accounting because it would allow me to do a placement year in spain, and that was honestly the most attractive part of the law course to me.
i am pretty decent at maths (A at gcse) and the only reason i didnt take it for a level was bc i hate geometry and shapes etc but i doubt that will come up in accounting lol
anyway, will my lack of a level maths put me at a disadvantage in admissions or in the course in general, or will it be ok? i also dont have a huge passion for numbers but idrk what else to do as a degree atp and accounting has a pretty good salary and career prospects, unlike law which is rlly hard to get a job in in belfast apparently
any help would be appreciated!

Accounting at top unis is a competitive course to get into so may require Maths qualifications. If you don't have a passion for numbers I would suggest its the wrong profession for you. As well as the degree you would also be thinking about post graduate professional exams/work for 2-3 years. It's a pretty narrow degree, maybe consider international business instead?

Most university accounting courses don't require A level maths and don't particularly favour it so long as you have a decent grade at GCSE. Broadly the feedback from people on the accounting degrees is that A level maths didn't matter but having a good grasp at GCSE standard does.

Have a look at the finance part of the degree. You’ll need to be good at maths for that.

You really don't. Its not finance in the sense of the LSE finance degree, or US university finance degrees. Not many universities would use any calculus and if that were the case they would require A level maths as a minimum.
Just depends on the published entry requirements. Unis don’t have secret preferences.
