Is it possible to start year 12 in September this year as a 17 year old turning 18 in December?

Yes, a 17-year-old who will turn 18 in December can begin Year 12 in September. In the United Kingdom, pupils normally start Year 13, their senior year, when they are 17 or 18 years old1. As a result, beginning Year 12 at age 17 falls within the typical age range for that academic year.
