A level textbooks- please help

I am currently doing my GCSEs and thinking about a levels I want to do next year, quite excited to start learning the new content and I want to try and look over some of it over the summer, I know I can’t learn it properly but just familiarise myself with the textbooks. However, I dont know which textbooks are best! I want to get a high grade and will be studying Maths, Biology and Physics all OCR A if I get into my first choice, fingers crossed for results day! So does anyone have experience of a level textbooks and which to pick? Any help very much appreciated and any study tips or other resources would be greatly welcomed also if you have any!

Hi, I'm using CGP A-Level Biology textbook (OCR), it contains AS and A level modules. I was practicing a-level past papers recently and I could find most of the answers I tested. Also I purchased a map from https://a-level-emergency.com which has all past paper questions categorised by module and section. It really helps to find the answers quicker. I'm also planning to practice more during summer and hopefully I'll be ready for next year.

Thanks so much for the reply! I know CGP have several different textbooks, would you recommend the revision and practice book or the student book? I think ill also get one of their practice questions books and perhaps some flashcards.

I bought student book and revision book. But to be honest student book is enough. Plus notes from school. I also use Tailored Tutors however they charge monthly for subscription.

Hi! I'm also in the same situation as you, looking to do physics next year. I found that Libgen had a lot of the textbooks I was looking for for free, so if you're not too concerned about have hard copies searching here could save you some time! I found that CGP revision guides were good for GCSES, so hopefully they'll be good for A level too.
