SFE max maintenance loan
Hi !
I’ve been living at home getting the bare minimum of maintenance loan however I am planning to move to london and I have applied to SFE and said i’ll be living outside of my home and would need the maximum amount of money for it
Would this change automatically? Would I need to call them and say I need to maximise the loan?
I have secured my room for accommodation already however just afraid that my loan would stay the same and not increase

Did you tick the box to apply for the income-assessed part of the loan and have your parents submitted household income details?

In order to receive the maximum maintenance loan, your parents will need to submit details of their income. They should have a received an email on how to do this once you submitted your application to SFE (provided you ticked that you wanted your household income to be assessed). Also, you will only get the maximum maintenance loan if your household income is below the threshold to receive the maximum (i.e. your household income is below £25,000 per year).
