DBS uni checks

I’m applying for a primary education QTS degree and my uni is asking for a DBS.
They said I need to get a new DBS if my DBS isn’t on the update system, or if it’s a no-fee volunteer DBS.
The DBS I have is from the primary school I volunteered at, of which they paid for the DBS for me.
Must I still get a new DBS?

Maybe contact the university and ask. I also have a DBS from my work experience in Year 12, and they told me I had to register for a new DBS that's registered with the university I'll be attending. For me, the DBS was free when I completed it for my uni course.
