How to Connect with Cambridge Students?

Hi everyone,
I'm currently in my final year of high school and I'm interested in connecting with students at the University of Cambridge who are studying Aerospace Engineering or Computer Science. Could anyone suggest the best ways to meet and network with students from these departments? Are there specific online groups, forums, or university societies that I should join? Any tips on relevant events or workshops for prospective students would also be appreciated. Thanks in advance!

TSR is the place. you can't join uni societies if you aren't a student at the Uni. There aren't any other groups, The uni manages applicant journeys through its website. Students are working too hard to get majorly involved in admissions, except informally like here on TSR.

When you say "meet and network", what are your goals? Are you hoping to meet some friends in older years for when you start or are you looking for advice about admissions?

Either way, I would strongly recommend against trying to join university societies, if you even can. You could, however, come during the open days or other outreach events - these are probably your best bets. You may find some people who would be happy to answer your questions on here but many are quite busy.

I don't study Aeronautical Engineering or Computer Science but I am a third-year studying Maths at Cambridge. If you have any questions which cannot be answered by a quick Google search, I'd be happy to help.
