How many hours of revision should I do?

I’m in year 9 right now and I’m going to do my GCSE’s in 2026 but I am not doing too well in lessons and want to start revising from now so I can achieve the grades that I want (all 8’s and 9’s) How much should I aim to do every day?

id recomend 1 hour of revision a day in yr 9 so u dont burn urself out. when it gets to assessment weeks, start revising like 2 weeks before (or earlier) with at least 2 hrs of revision a day and 3 hours the day before the mocks.

It's only year 9, at that stage I'd focus most on perfecting your exam and essay technique and just paying attention in lessons and making good notes. The content you learn at the start of the gcse should come back to you quite easily in year 11 if you have all the notes ready.
