How to get a job at 16 UK?

Hello. I am 16 years old and I would like to apply for a job.

I've applied to at least 40 jobs on indeed and all I get back is rejection emails and no responses. My CV is solid and the fact that I'm 16 is making many companies refuse to progress with me.

I've gone out personally in Manchester Piccadilly giving shopping centres my CV and they said they'll give a callback when a position opens.

So I've done it all, online applications to shops like Lidl, Aldi, McDonald's. McDonald's never said no though, they said they're sorting out a personal interview for me soon which I doubt after this draining 6 months of looking for a job. So please, what can I do to secure that job? What sites to do I go to that accepts 16 year olds? Please help and list what type of work u did at 16, that would help as i need a new phone:smile: thanks

Keep trying, you will get one eventually.
Have you tried cafes and restaurants (especially the smaller independent ones) as they take on a lot of young people.

It is honestly draining though, its incredibly difficult but I somewhat have a feeling that the more I do it the closer i get to a job
