Applying for teaching assistant role
I’m hoping to contact primary schools asking for any vacancies for teaching assistant roles as I can’t seem to find any advertised online. I have a level 2 in health and social care and and have completed an access to higher education diploma in health care and starting a open university degree in primary education. I’ve also just done a 16 week placement as a trainee nursery assistant.
When contacting schools is it best to call or email? Also if contacting via email should I include all my experience/ qualifications/ why I want a job as a teaching assistant or keep it short and attach my cv?
Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

email the school(s) you want to apply to with a good eye-catching subject line.
in the email subject, add a small paragraph explaining a little about you and why you want to apply. then attach your CV
