Hello. You may never hear back, and that may just be the truthly-truth well-proportioned in situ with the reality for some situations, because of the shear volume of candidates they may have received. But, it could also be them deliberating over whom to employ, and you might even be a top choice. It could be even more trivial than that and the hiring person just hasn't had the time yet to sit down at the computer and look at it. Its not really possible to know what happens behind closed doors and behind the scenes to be honest, and not worth thinking about it too much either.
What many folks are doing as a robust life philosophy, is to do everything well in the moment and in the present now, which you did well by giving a good interview, well done btw, and then sort of move on to the next thing and do the same again, allowing the past to sort of majestically fall away peacefully behind you, allowing it to just sort of settle whichever way it seems to sit, and then trying again. Probably good advice to not dwell too much on the future either, in the same way as not on the past, and just sort of accept that sometimes you win some and sometimes you don't.
It might not necessarily be any fault of yours either. Some employers advertise a position publicly and yet already know which candidate they already want. Try not to be philosophically disheartened by it, and do continue to try other applications and other opportunities. The worst is they can say no, but it might be a good thing on some occasions too because you might not be whom they were specifically looking for. Even if sometimes you were the best candidate taken by other metrics of statistical analysis.
