Resitting an A - Level in first year of uni

Basically, I messed up in one of my A - Levels because I accidentally only answered half of paper one (I'm not sure how, I think my brain was just fatigued and I made a stupid error) and so it is highly likely that I will only come out with a C even though I was predicted an A which has really upset me. Fortunately, I have contextual offers to both Durham and Manchester so even if I don't get into Durham because of the C, I will be able to go to Manchester. So, my plan was to go to uni and then resit the A - Level I messed up in my first year, more for my own pride than anything else. But I was wondering if this was worth doing because obviously uni is hard work and I don't want to mess up at university aswell?

Totally and utterly pointless.

Forget the vanity of this - you will have far too much to do at Uni.

yeah that's what I was thinking but I just find it hard to let go and if I have the time to do it then it might be worth it?

Why?
No-one will care what you got in your A levels once you have a degree.
It makes about as much sense as retaking a Brownie badge.

yeah fair point, I guess so long as I get in to university I won't resit then. I just hope that I don't get less than a C otherwise I really am screwed.

As long as you get on to the next step of the ladder, it doesn’t matter. I would throw yourself in to the uni course instead. Repeat the A level as a hobby once you’re working, if indeed it still matters to you
