Is joining cadets at 15 worth it?

I’ve wanted to join army cadets for a while, but I’ve never really got around to it. I turned 15 a week or so ago and decided, ok. I need to get my stuff together. I am also seriously considering going into the armed forces as a veterinary officer when I’m older, so cadets would probably be useful to see if I like the vibe before I take a bursary. I’d be interested to hear about cadets/former cadets about
your own experiences.

I was in the army cadets for quite some time and i have to say I had a great time a huge commitment but I’d say it was worth it. You learn many things such as simple stuff of ironing your clothes and keeping your self clean and crucial and important things such as first aid I’d say if you are committed to doing something and you will put your mind towards it give it ago!

I am a 1-star complete cadet in the ACF, 2nd battalion the Highlanders Corruna Company Keith detachment, and it is worth it, the qualifications you can get from army cadets are lifelong, I am a certified first aider and I am a marksman on the A2 rifle, I've also just been promoted to lance corporal, I would suggest you join, even if you are 15, you'll have 3 years before you age out
