Is it a problem that I don't have a phone?

Like not even one proper phone in my lifetime! I've always used my mum's phone to text my friends.. as like I grew older it became increasingly embarrasng. It didn't become a problemo once I was in Year 7 cuzI could just make excuses like I'm too young or somethn. Then in Year 11 it's more difficult ig. My friends know about me using my mum's phone but i feel they find it weird. But I have this small nokia phone lol just for school so that my parents know where I am (this one im never ever telling ppl about it lol). There was this time when I forgot to put silence on and the ringtone was horrendous OMG!! Thankfull my teacher protected me but still I dont think i'll be able to unforget it.
Last time I tried to bring up this topic to my parents they snapped at me so.. idk. I'm nt really the type to pester my parents about stuffs especially when it comes to money cuz that makes me feel guilty.
Anyways enough of the rant.
I want to be able to get rid of this feeling but I don't know how to get rid of it.
What ways can I get a job since may be they just want me to get moeny by myself and get a phone independently. I tried looking in the Internet for a job but to no avail

when i was your age i had a £10 android with a touch screen and internet connection, then a (broken) iphone 4 i bought from my friend

if you feel like not having your own phone is holding you back, can you buy a cheap one that gets the job done?

well if you want to use social media and stuff you defo can on your computer so dont worry about that - i wasnt allowed a phone until year 7 (different than your sitch ik) so i used my kindle internet browser for socials

I'm going into year 12 and don't have a phone. I don't go to school, so our circumstances are slightly different, but tbh I get enough social stuff done on my laptop- i got tsr, gmail, whatsapp, spotify and google chats and the like.
the only reason you seem to want a phone is to not stand out, which i do get, but also maybe make it sound like it's ur decision not to have a phone (that's what i do haha) and they'll likely think ur a mature weirdo which is a good thing in my books. your friends and classmates should respect you, phone or no phone.
not having a phone is great cause im not really looking at harmful things that could impact my self-esteem, i'm not forced to respond to people i dont really like immediately and i get less distracted. i use a nokia flip-phone to text and call my parents when i'm camping but that's it really.
