tbh looking at how paper 1 went im thinking that this paper is going to be much harder cuz imo the first paper was a breeze so i feel like there will be some simple topics with difficult question from them

Here’s a predicted paper walkthrough that goes through possible questions https://youtu.be/wIXtlTG1_hc?si=HTxvLtDg7zrUyGh_ Hope it helps

What were the solubility graph answers, I got 70 degrees for when they both have the maximum mass, I got 3.76g for the second one and I got 13.5g for the one that is cooled
I think I got the wrong answer for the second one - I think it was 90 something

I think for the second one I had around 95g. I just remember multiplying my answer from the graph by 4 as the graph was for 25g and the question asked for per 100g. Your other ones were about the same as me.

What about how kerosene is extracted from crude oil,I think I got 2 marks but I forgot to say by fractional distillation 😭 I think that would be 3 marks
And what about the last page, the 3 questions

I think the question was basically describing fractional distillation so like 1. Heat it 2. Fractionating column 3. Temperature gradient means you collect at the top

Vaporise crude oil, add into fractionating column, temperature gradient, so condenses at its boiling point.

Heat crude oil, vapour travels up fractionating column, vapour condenses based on the boiling point of the fraction (so kerosene) and it is hotter and the bottom and cooler at the top

I got -184 and I got the hydrogen chloride one wrong. I think with the organic solution, it doesn't change colour and with the water it went red because of the aci d
