What to do regarding loans?

Hey all, I've received an offer from an apprenticeship provider but also have an unconditional as my main choice on UCAS. I'm planning to take the apprenticeship as I can commute from home but what should I do regarding loans? If my grades fall through (hopefully not the case, but still possible) I'm hoping to rely on university but is it even possible to take a student loan if I'm not entirely sure I'll go to university?

you're not obligated to attend your firm or insurance choice on UCAS

once you've got your grades you can reject your offer(s) on UCAS and continue with your apprenticeship plans

money is not paid to you or any university until your attendance is confirmed

worst case you can phone up SFE
Hi,

You don't need to do anything regarding telling student finance that you are taking the apprenticeship until results day, as they won't make any payments until they have confirmed with the university that you have accepted your place and have done your student registration. You'll need to log on to your student finance account and update it, by withdrawing your application.

This is a guide from UCAS that has some useful info on
Ultimate Guides Results Day (ucas.com)

Good Luck,
