Resits

I sat my GCSE's the May just gone and this June, however I am really stressing the fact I think I may have failed. I am planning on going to Sixth form to sit 3 A levels: Psychology, English literature and PE. If I do not get my grades, and chose to resit my GCSE's, can I then go to sixth form and study my A levels the year after as a held back student? Can someone please help me I don't know what to do!!!!

One of my friends failed maths and is currently doing a series of resits to try to pass while also in sixth form, so defintely look into your sixthform if that's an option for you!

Same goes for studying A-Levels as a held back student - from what I've gathered it looks like it depends on the sixth form, so look at their website or get into contact with them ASAP.

Its not uncommon for A level students to resit Maths or English GCSE alongside A levels/BTEC etc, but if you are intending to resit everything, that's entirely up to your school - and they may simply say No.

Don’t mean to sound harsh - but if you’ve failed GCSEs maybe A levels aren’t for you?
Like if you can’t pass GCSEs then you will most likely not pass A levels as they are way more intense.
