Local or International Student

I am currently living in an Asian country. I have a flight going to UK this coming July 2024. I've already been to UK last July 2023 but I came back in my country to finish my senior high school (equivalent to year 13 college in UK).

I have finished subjects such as in Physics, Chemistry and Biology but I am currently waiting for UK ENIC to finish my statement of comparability. I think it is equivalent to A-Levels (according to the university that I visited last year and correct me if I'm wrong please). What are GCSEs thou? Will I have a complication studying undergraduate courses in the UK?

Moreover, I am currently 18 years old and have a valid BRP. Am I really considered as an international student? The tuition fee is too huge for international students.

If yes, can you reccommend universities which atleast offer less tuition fee than the rest? Please help me, I really need help. I am growing anxious because I really don't want to do nothing for the following school year because I wasn't accepted at anything.

Thank you so much for those who will reply.

unless you have lived in the uk for 3 years before the start date of your uni course, unless you have settled status in the uk you will be considered international student unless you have british passport or you have residence status with no immigration restrictions...so im assuming you will be an international student..

for cheaper unis for intl students look at this..https://yocket.com/blog/cheapest-universities-in-uk , https://www.thecompleteuniversityguide.co.uk/student-advice/where-to-study/top-ten-cheapest-universities-for-international-postgraduates , https://myunisearch.com/blog/cheapest-universities-in-the-uk-for-international-students , except these are not very high ranking if you value this

Thank you so much for your reply. I do have questions.

If i am studying a 4 year course, will i be a local student by the 4th year?

What about GCSEs and A-levels, will I be okay even if I studied here?
