Cardiff Accomodation for Architecture Students

Hello, I'm an international student coming to Cardiff for architecture. May I get some help on choosing the best accomodation? In terms of distance from classes, living quality, social aspect, room/bed size, facilities, etc.. also I'm particularly looking for en-suite rooms.. Any help would be greatly appreciated..
Hi, Congrats on your offer, first of all, that is a wonderful achievement!

If you're looking to apply for university-owned accommodation, your best bet for ensuite rooms would probably be any of the Talybont buildings (Talybont Gate, North, South, Court), Ty Pont Haearn, University Halls or Adam Street Gardens. In terms of distance to classes, Talybont is the closest, being a 17 minute walk, followed by Adam Street Gardens and Ty Pont Haearn, which are both around 23 minutes. Its worth mentioning that Ty Pont Haearn and Adam Street Gardens are the closest to the city center.

Of course, you can speed all of this up by taking the bus, and there is a bus pass discount for people under 21 University Hall is probably the furthest, but there is a free bus that runs from the accommodation to campus. There are closer accommodation, some being as little as a 5 minute walk from your classes, but those would be shared bathroom accommodation.

I would say that Talybont is definitely the most social! Talybont South tends to be quite loud and a lot of parties tend to occur there. The other Talybont buildings do hold their fair share of parties as well haha, but generally a bit more peaceful in my experience.

In terms of living quality, room size, facilities etc, I'll let you be the judge of that! As different people have different expectations of how they'd like their accommodation to be You can find all the information on the accommodation I listed above on this link here.

Let me know if you had any other questions!
