apprentice help!

I had been looking into degree apprenticeships as an alternative to going to uni as i liked that i will be initially getting a free degree. However it is very competitive to obtain so after a few months i start to look at regular apprentices where i was then able to get a level 3 apprentice in tech support and i signed the contracts to a conditional offer. A few weeks later though I received a technical interview from a degree apprenticeship as i passed the assessment centre stage. I have just recently been to the interview so don't except to hear back for a week or two. If i do get the degree apprentice how do i turn down the other apprentice if i had signed the contract.

Was the other (the level 3 apprenticeship) conditional to you getting certain grades?

Whether or not you’ve started your level 3 apprenticeship, it should be fairly simple. You’ll either not of signed a contract yet, or you’ll be in your probationary period.

Just let the relevant people know if you’ve accepted another offer and they’ll sort it out.

I know it’s a higher level, but you should still give it some thought. I did a level 3 before my degree apprenticeship and really enjoyed it. It helped me understand the industry better before committing to a degree apprenticeship and I ended up choosing a different speciality.

I think then it's just fine to call them up or email saying you are no longer interested in this role

wait till you hear back from the degree one and if you're still wanting to turn down the lvl 3 one you need to get in contact with the employer explaining that you would no longer want to take their offer
