BBC Journalist Rsearcher apprenticeship level 5 2025 entry

I’ve been considering applying for the bbc level 5 journalist apprenticeship but worried about the cost of travelling to a bbc workplace because of high train/tube costs. i tried looking on the bbc website to see where their early career schemes are based but could not find anything. does anyone know where the apprenticeships are based? does it vary from year to year? i live in between northampton and oxford so it would be absolutely amazing to see if one was based there. i feel as though travel costs could get in the way of me applying if i had to travel to london, birmingham, newcastle etc. thank you :smile:

I'm not applying to this currently but given this is the only 2025 thread, I thought I would hop in and await helpful replies. Sorry 🙂 Anyway it looks like the locations are in London, though I feel like you could be able to argue tube costs are part of a living allowance during the application process. Best of luck when the apps come online!

I have applied to the level 5 apprenticeship at BBC Belfast. I have completed all online assessments, and am now waiting to hear if I have gotten through to the final stage, an in-person interview (so I believe).

Has anybody here been through this process... how long does it usually take to find out? What is the interview like? Any tips and guidance would be much appreciated.
