Gcse language

Hi so i've sat my english langauge gcse and im constantly worried about if im passing or not, im not terrible at english for every question i've basically done point evidence and analyse the quote etc but i've not structures very well i've also included techniques but people saying u dont get marked for analysis so am i ok or not? I've not structured very well

hey there, I'm also stressing so much about english lang + lit, for lang you do get analysis marks for some of the questions, but not in all, paper 1 q3 for example. The point, evidence, analyse structure is honestly fine and if you mentioned techniques, you'll get marks for it, don't stress too much, it's over now :smile:

If it is for AQA exam board then based on what you said you’ve done, yes of course! You do get marks on picking out quotes explaining the techniques and I’m pretty sure that comes under the concept of analysis. So don’t worry. Also the fact that you used a set out structure like point, evidence, analysis almost certainly guarantees marks for at least answering the question and picking out a relevant quote. Overall you need about 71 marks for a pass but grade boundaries might be lower this year as many people found paper 2 significantly harder

Like I’m can’t remember what I did but I just got quote and analysis and potentially techniques for most questions
