failing GCSEs, uni, sixth form, medicine, imperial

so im really scared for results day.. i feel like my results would be 7776655544.. and this is me overthinking aswell.. ill probably get 9s in all sciences and 6 in maths and eng lang.. which i am sad about.. but my sixthform requirements are four 6s and four 7s.. im just so scared im not going to get in and i havent applied anywhere else.. i want to persue medicine and in a level im genuinely going to put in 100% effort to get a*a*a* or atleast a*a*a.. i want to take bio chem psychology for alevel.. and my DREAM is to go to imperial for uni and do medicine there.. honestly i know the only thing i can do right now is just focus on my last 3 exams and just wait until results day but im just so scared and need reassurance.. what is the worst case scenario? is it worth doing retakes? also do unis really look at gcses because i know it is just so competitive out there? also how do i maximise my chance of getting into imperial? do you think i can?

Ok I'm kind of in the same place, I've done most of my exams and until my actual gcses came I was confident I was going to get top grades like in my mocks but now it all seems too real so im not sure if i did that good. The requirements for medicine are normally 7-9 in subjects like sciences, english language and maths for the better universities, but there are also places you can go with 6s so you shouldn't worry. I think they use your gcses as an indication to whether you've been consistent and for cpre subjects that you don't do at a level they want to see that you're at a good level but you should be fine

Awe thank you, don't worry about maths I did mine a year early and came out convinced that I'd got a 5 because I had no idea what I was doing half the time and I left a 7 mark question blank but... I got an 8 ☺️ sometimes subjects take you buy surprise!!

Hiya if ur not happy with your grade do a resit. From what I’ve heard it is worth it. I will probably get a 7 in maths but I wanted a 9 so I think I will resit in November
