failing GCSEs, uni, sixth form, imperial

so im really scared for results day.. i feel like my results would be 7776655544.. and this is me overthinking aswell.. ill probably get 9s in all sciences and 6 in maths and eng lang.. which i am sad about.. but my sixthform requirements are four 6s and four 7s.. im just so scared im not going to get in and i havent applied anywhere else.. i want to persue medicine and in a level im genuinely going to put in 100% effort to get a*a*a* or atleast a*a*a.. i want to take bio chem psychology for alevel.. and my DREAM is to go to imperial for uni and do medicine there.. honestly i know the only thing i can do right now is just focus on my last 3 exams and just wait until results day but im just so scared and need reassurance.. what is the worst case scenario? is it worth doing retakes? also do unis really look at gcses because i know it is just so competitive out there? also how do i maximise my chance of getting into imperial? do you think i can?

I thought I was in the same position due to my Gcses not being so good. However Imperial do not at all look a Gcse grades when shortlisting applicants for medicine they only state you need to meet the minimum entry requirements which is a 6 for english they look more at experience and leadership qualities in personal statement + the UCAT.
Honestly with medicine it is all about applying strategically. different unis weigh requirements differently some only require minimum 4 in english and some are the opposite and take into account gcse grades heavily but honestly those grades are definitely enough for you to be able to apply and have a good chance of getting A* in A levels and applying to medicine if you put the work in 🙂.
Once you are in year 12 my advice would be to start looking at other places you could strengthen your application for example volunteering and community work so you can begin to gain more experience which will make you stand out from other applicants.
You can have a look at their medicine entry requirements on their page
