Tesco job

I’m 18 and it’s my first job I’ve applied to what happens in Tesco interview e.g questions? And what happens within the Tesco induction day?

I doubt they will ask much because the job is for juniors mainly. Good luck

Hi 😊 😊

At your Tesco interview you'll be probably asked things like :-
1) why have you applied for this particular job at Tesco
2) what if any experienced have you got working in retailing ( don't panic okay as experience is not always required as training will be provided).
3) what would you do if a customer got angry with you 😠 😠 ( how would you deal with it)
4) what days and how many hours per day are you prepared to do, and also are you flexible with what shifts are available.

At the end you'll be given a chance to ask questions okay.
The manager might ask you to do a few tasks on the shop floor as part of your interview but it's only to show them how you cope with perhaps approaching a customer and ask if they need help - this is for customers communication skills only.

Now if you are successful you'll be asked to come to a induction day - what you do there is fill in all necessary paperwork that needs doing ( Bank details, national insurance, uniform ordering and watching health and safety films and talking about how Tesco came to what they are today - you could look up Tesco history online). Then hopefully you'll be allocated your working days and what hours you working okay.

Team leader and stand in supervisor with Tesco ( part time currently) .
Good luck with things 👍 👍 update on how you get on if possible.

Ignore the comments from the person in reply 1 okay as it is not for juniors as all age's of people works in all aspect of retailing.
