Recommendations for laptops (for med school) PLEASE

I am looking for advise on buying a laptop appropriate for med school as someone who has never owned a laptop, and who’s finding it quite overwhelming to look at all the different models/consider all features.

I need it to be in the £200-400 range, please. I’d really prefer it to be touchscreen, but I don’t have laptop knowledge, so don’t know if that’s possible in this range?

Hi there,
I completely understand where you're coming from, looking for a laptop can be so difficult!
I have owned my laptop for about 4 years now and I would absolutely recommend it. I have a Dell Inspiron (linked here), which is within your price range.
It is touchscreen and you can even flip it round to form a tablet. You can buy a stylus to go with it to be used when in tablet mode which I found particularly useful for annotating lecture notes and labelling anatomy diagrams.
I am aware that HP sell very similar laptops to this one, but have never owned one myself.
I hope that I have helped you a bit there. Please get back in touch if I can help any further.

Hi there

I will start my BM6 course this September and was wondering what type of laptop should I buy. I read that macbook air 22 is the best but also read that it doesn't support certain medicine programmes and I would like you to recommend me which laptop would be the best choice to buy in terms of performance, battery life, security and flexibility regardless of cost. It would be greatly appreciated if you could help me with this. Thanks in advance
