Hello all, many thanks for all your help!! Just an update -
After a disastrous night of me recoiling each time my boyfriend tried to put his finger in me, he thought I was not attracted to him at all. This morning I told him the truth that I was a virgin and he took it so well!!! I’m so glad I told him, thanks all for your advice. We’re going to try again tonight but this time it’ll be gentle 🙂 Wish me luck!
Excellent! Wish you, er, luck? 😃

So glad he took it well, I can understand it being more intimidating to admit it at your age. Prepare for it to hurt the first time even if you think it won’t. Make sure you have lots of lube and lots of foreplay to build up to it. Even with partners i’ve been with and haven’t had much foreplay or lube, it still hurts.

Hello,
I am a 29 y/o female who has not yet had sex. I’ve been in multiple relationships but I’ve just believed in sex after marriage. I also had a physically abusive childhood (nothing sexual) where I grew up not really liking anyone touching me.. I’ve been intimate in previous relationships but I’ve just not had penetrative sex. My current boyfriend is unaware that I am a virgin and he is very very experienced… any advice anyone can offer? I am quite nervous!! I don’t want him to figure out that I’m a virgin but also want to impress him..
Does anyone know if the first time having sex will be painful?
Appreciate any advice as we will have sex tomorrow… eek
Thank you.

Being a virgin is a wonderful thing.Your first time can create a big impact on future experiences. It should be a wonderful experience with someone who is very special. Become educated about your body and start thinking about your morals & values. Your virginity is once so make it count.I'll be sending my well wishes your way

I feel like it’s actually offensive and dishonest to lie to your partner about something like this. I understand that you may be embarrassed but it’s so important to have honesty and trust within a relationship and I actually think it’s really bad to lie about something like that😞 it will put more pressure and stress on you as well, and scare you even more knowing you are keeping this secret from him

It's important that she tells him that way he can help her though the experience,so he can make it special,to be gentle with her, so he can make it all about her & comfort her about her fears.
Given that the thread is five months old I’m pretty sure this has been resolved now.

Right but it's still good because other people that find it can read the good advice

Each to their own but its not a biggie.

'A wonderful experience with someone very special' is a pretty high bar. How two virgins would have a 'wonderful experience' is difficult for me to comprehend. I had foot cramp the first time.
