PG Day In The Life

Hi!
I thought I would take you through what a typical day looks like for me as a MSc Psychological Wellbeing masters student in my final term! Each day can look different from the other but this is generally what my days look like at the final term!:h:

I start my day by getting up and getting a good breakfast to start my day. Breakfast is so important for fuelling your brain for optimal concentration and performance. Some of my favourites include porridge and fruits, granola and yoghurt and a smoothie bowl! I always start my day with some coffee too! Coffee helps power me through the day haha! I then take my time getting ready as if I begin the day rushed I feel it starts my day off in a hectic way. If I am going onto campus I will go there, or I often work from home as I have a good set up here! :coffee:

I start my day with regoing through what I did yesterday. I have a quick refresh and then write a to do list for the day. I make sure to prioritise my to do list as sometimes it can get overwhelming. Now I am in my final term I only have one assignment due and my dissertation. Most of my day is taken up by dissertation work. This could be conducting an interview for my study, going through research for my literature review or typing up recordings and data. I usually do one task for an hour, then move on to another to give myself some brain break! I also take lots of breaks and drink plenty of water throughout. Then, I will have lunch and continue this for the afternoon.

I usually finish doing work around 5. After this I will get the bus home if I am on campus or go downstairs if I am at home. I will feed my dogs, play with them and then walk them. Then I make myself dinner and switch off for the night. I will watch TV or play games and give my mind the best rest possible. I will then have a shower, do my skincare and read before bed. Getting enough sleep is crucial to maintaining your brain health!

I hope this helps!
