5 in English language medicine

Has anyone got into medicine with a 5 in language? If so what unis did you apply to as the only unis I know that accept a 5 or below are Exeter and Bristol.

You could attempt the IELTS, it would increase the number of universities you could apply to but you would still need to confirm this with their admissions staff

Do you know any unis that require a 5 in language for medicine? I have a 6 in literature

Can you redo it ? As you can sit in Nov and add in UCAS as predicted grade.

I resat the language last week but I felt like my brain was on autopilot and I think I’m only going to get a 5. I also resat it in November last year (same academic year) and got a 5. I hate myself for not doing better

Yes, people have done it, but there are now very few options, so resitting to get a 6+ is probably advisable.

Unis accepting a 5 in Eng Lang are Bristol, Cambridge, Plymouth and St Andrews. Also Oxford, Newcastle, QUB and Leeds (though GCSE scoring is a large part of both of their selection scoring, so a 5 in any subject makes shortlisting unlikely).
Glasgow have apparently said they will accept a C/5 in Eng Lang with a 6/B in Eng Lit

Exeter now need a 6 in Eng
