Maths GCSE for dentistry

I recently took my gcse for maths and did terrible. I believe I will only get a 6, all my other grades consist of 7 and 8 however. Will this ruin my chance of getting into dentistry?

I’m also in year 11 and aiming to do dentistry.
To be honest it depends on where you are applying. Eg I’m looking to go uob which hold GCSEs a bit heavier compared to other unis as they have minimum requirements of 8s in bio and chem and a 7 in maths.
But I think other places (possibly Plymouth?) are more lenient and take other factors like ucat and a levels into more consideration

yeah I’ve heard they do, thank you. I’m predicted all 8s in science, would that maybe make up for it? I know it sounds dramatic but I honestly feel sick and that my whole future is ruined. I was so nervous in the exams and had things going on and I just couldn’t think straight and messed it all up and ruined my chances of a 7 i feel terrible

If you’re talking about uob then tbh I don’t think so because usually any application which doesn’t meet the requirements is discarded. But perhaps you could apply for some special considerations?
But there are a few other dental schools where you can apply.
I think the best thing might be to resit in November and get a higher grade. The only thing about that is some unis (like uob) don’t accept resits
