Revision

So long story short

Im in y10 and I have end of year tests coming up. I have a physics paper 1 on Thursday and a computer science topic test on Thursday too (on programming fundamentals). I also have a Theology test on friday.

What shoukd I do as I haven’t even started revisibg for Computer science and Theology and I’ve only revised one topix for Physics.
I want to get either a 5,6 or 7 in my Physics test (seeing as how ive hardlu done revision).

Any tips on how i can di effective revision for some of these tests? Thanks

You have a good week so don’t worry as long as you use it well you’ll do fine!

For physics:
To learn the content- watch free science lessons playlist on YouTube
To reinforce content- go through flash cards on quizlet (there are loads of packs based on the science papers)
Exercise your knowledge- past papers!! Even if you don’t get through all the content make sure you do past papers as there is only so much they can ask you from the spec so questions get reused often!

For cs:
Learn the content- craig’n’Dave playlist on YouTube have a separate playlist for programming fundamentals, watch this!
Practice- with programming you’ll only get better with practice so do as many as past papers as possible, if you run out of questions then ask chat gpt to make you some more

I didn’t do theology but if it’s anything like sociology with the essay writing as well as smaller questions then the specification is your best friend! It has the everything that you could get asked so read through what you need to know and make question based on that to test yourself! Also past papers!!!!!

You are only in year 10 so dw too much, these mocks mean nothing. I’ve had some subjects that have doubled in grade by yr 11, I swear you’ll forget about these results by the summer holidays!

Again past papers are the key to success, for my biology paper 2 I knew none of the content but did all the past papers the night before and got an 8.

Remember as well it is only gcse, there isn’t a lot of content so you can do it. I crammed the night before many exams and whilst I wouldn’t recommend it, it is possible to learn it all. You have a week, as long as you use it wisely you’ll be okay!

Flashcards helped me a lot with physics and now that there's plenty of AI platforms you could probably ask ChatGPT to make you flashcards.
