I am 16 and considering taking the NPLQ this summer but it’s gonna cost £350 for the 5 days on the course and if you fail you obviously don’t get the money back. Is it worth the money as I am only 16. I have been swimming for years and so I am pretty confident I’ll pass and the first aid skills I know well from being a cadet. Is it worth it or should I wait to take it?
I’m also shortsighted so how does that affect me taking the course and possibly becoming a lifeguard after. Would I be able to wear my glasses as an actual lifeguard and do I just go through the course without glasses or contacts in?
Thanks for any answers
