combined science and medicine

is it hard to get into medicine, specifically dentistry with combined science? if I get a 9 ? how much of a disadvantage am I from compared to triple science students?

Honestly it doesn’t put you at any disadvantage at all as long as you meet the requirements for the combined science grade which you can just check on the university websites or ucas website. Don’t worry!!

Tbf you might be at a slight disadvantage as getting 9s in triple science is generally considered more impressive than getting 9s in combined. However most unis only briefly look at gcses (some exceptions KCL ect.) so you should not worry. If you do well in your UCAT a levels and gcses overall im sure doing combined would not be a problem or an issue regards to competitive uni applications. But please do take my response with a pinch of salt as i too am only doing gcses at the moment, the best thing would be to ask your teacher or careers adviser at school.
