Kingston Accommodation 1st Year

It’s been around 2 week ish since accommodation booking has come out for living in halls, I wanted a room in Seething Wells however it does not say any is available. Shall I just wait it out and see if a room will become available or book a room now at a different hall? :frown:

It does say on the website that from June6th there’s a 2 week wait for putting down deposit? Shall I wait the 2 weeks to see if I have any luck if someone was not able to pay it in time?

I would have to apply for Clayhill if all else fails, which is okay but it’s just not the halls I would have liked.

Hey,
I understand deciding this can be tricky, I can try to help you in the decision making.
First, why do you prefer Seething Wells over Clayhill?
Second, from my personal experience i can say that Student Rooms get booked away super fast, and then looking through private student accomodations and other house shares can be tiring. So, My suggestion would be to book Clayhill for now. Before making the complete payment for Clayhill you can check with the accomodations team over email if Seething Wells is available, If not, Grab what you get.

When I look at reviews for Clayhill a lot of them are quite negative, apparently receptionists are racist too? Just a lot of negatives I’m worried to go there. Seething wells was just the hall I was hoping for in general, there is also Walkden I could book but it is more pricey and location wise it’s further since I would be at Knights Park for my course, however I don’t mind the travel it’s just the extra expenses of it because I would HAVE to travel to campus every week on bus + just to live there! However seems a lot better than Clayhill aha

I think I will go with your idea with booking a room but not making the complete payments yet! 🙂

Ah! I Get it.
Have you went on accomodations tours though?

We are having Open Days with Campus Tours and accomodation tours, and some ambassadors will be there with whome you can chat about the experience of their accomodation, That can be helpful too 🙂
