Hiii, I am Christian too , and it is great that you are asking questions about things! I remember I had this question when I first became a Christian. What I learnt is in short, no Jesus doesn’t hate the LGBTQ community. He loves them like he loves all his creation and he loves them so abundantly. He doesn’t love anyone less for their sin (John 3:16)(Romans 8:38-39). So yes whilst Jesus does love them, he doesn’t condone homosexuality or same-sex attraction. In the Bible, it often alludes to the idea that a man and a woman should be married. Also you can see in the story of Sodom and Gomorrah, when God struck the city down due to sin, one of the sins being committed was homosexuality. God didn’t make us to have sin, as that is contrary to his nature. God hates sin, and makes in his likeness therefore we are not originally sinful. However, ever since the fall (when Adam and Eve disobeyed God), sin entered the world 🌍, and therefore humanity has become sinful, we all fall short of the Glory of God (I have paraphrased a verse in Romans but don’t remember which one). That is why God calls us to be born again! Washed clean of our sins through the blood of Jesus’ sacrifice on the cross.
God wants us all to return and belong to Him, as sin drives a wedge through our relationship with God. As unholy beings cannot commune with a holy God. But God knowing our transgressions and shortcomings still wants us to be with Him because he loves us so much, and he knows this life of sin is not fulfilling for us. God offers life in abundance (John 10:10). And therefore to be able to have relationship with us, he sent his son Jesus to die on the cross, give us a clean slate and vindicate us on the day of Judgement. I hope this helps and I pray the Holy Spirit guides you further
