idk i actually drew the equilibrium sign in chemistry somewhere at the question paper when i was figuring out wtf is going on then i wrote some bs like the semi-desert conditions might not be the optimal conditions for horses to survive

Yeah I said something like that asw 😭

Do you think for the next part of the question they would’ve accepted selection pressures and migration as reasons why not in equilibrium?

They might. I said something similar I said emigration out of the habitat and genetic mutations.

Ok cool. The other one I didn’t like was the genetic engineering one and qer but it was mostly ok

What did everyone put for labelling the male reproductive system on the first question

The genetic engineering was good if you revised. Personally as I revised the topic in detail I liked it. However some parts of it were weird like talking about the human genome project. The Qer was weird I felt I didn't right enough about it. I kinda just waffled about down syndrome and Duchene muscular dystrophy

I cant remember but I think I got it mostly right. It was hard though as the diagram was awkward:3

Yh sameee, I talked about sickled cell anemia idk if that right

Ikr, do u remember if u got prostrate gland as number 8? Cuz I’m scared I accidentally put the bladder

Same I talked about those two conditions as well. For the genetic engineering question the main part I didn’t like was the benefits of synthesized protein over one form a human. What did you say about plate A and B? For A I said it was important to have something to compare the distribution or number of colonies and for B is said since the ampicillin gene was removed, the missing colonies are those which have successfully taken up HGH into their cells

Yh that one was strange

i said something about mutation in genes and selection for/against a certain phenotype?? 🤞

Does it matter if you expressed the allele frequency as a percentage??

For the benefits I just waffled. I was kind of confused on that one as well.

I think it does you might loose a mark. If they asked for frequency it should be expressed as decimals

Also for the benefits I talked about ethics and the fact that it's less invasive as well as saying that there's less chance of rejection

Would that it doesnt need to be located and isolated be one?

I mean idek as questions like this are so general that the advantages might be stuff you might no think off. Logically I think you're right as this makes sense as in gene engineering you have to find cells that produce the required gene and also requires enzymes such as restriction endonuclease which is time consuming but with synthesis you don't.

Yeah there probably is a lot of answers that they’ll accept

I think I labelled the prostate gland with the number which was pointing at the red circle that had the vas deferens connected to it. What did you put for the function of the prostate?
