STEM degree at lower uni vs humanities degree at higher uni (Kinda Urgent)

Just completed a degree in criminology - I have two offers for masters degrees currently. UCL for crime science with cybercrime, and QMUL for a conversion course in computing. I'm extremely unsure about which will be better for monetary gain in future + more doors opened/increased employment chance. Someone help?

Research has found that STEM and non-STEM graduates in the UK have similar career outcomes and salaries within 10 years of graduating: https://figshare.le.ac.uk/articles/report/The_employment_trajectories_of_Science_Technology_Engineering_and_Mathematics_graduates/10234421

This was however focusing on undergraduate study. I would suggest pursuing the masters which is more relevant to the area you wish to work in ultimately.

Ty, but like - if you were in my shoes, what would be better overall for future? Regardless of where I may want to work.

Well I couldn't really advise as I personally wouldn't be interested in either of those courses :frown:

I will say though if you're not specifically aiming for a career in the computing sector though I don't think a CS masters will add anything that the other one won't however.

Did statistics + UCL crime science. I would say UCL, ask the department early to see if there are available slots in the Data Science route, there are plenty of computing modules to go for if you want to switch from pure criminology.
