I really liked it, thought it was tricky but for some reason I was on form and could answer all of them except some of the word answer ones

How did everyone calculate the variances for Q5?

I personally found worded questions pretty alright most were repetitive of previous as and alevel papers. Uniform distribution one 3 marker threw me off

Is this the cd question?

Yeah, and which critic did u choose

Reply 8

It was certainly an unusual paper, any idea if I’ll get penalized for giving more than one/two conditions for distributions to be used if all were correct but question asked just for one/two

Is this the cd question?

I said the 1 or A was wrong because it had more variation so it was Var(2X) instead of Var (xm+xa)

I knew it had to do with something like this only problem i didn’t know how to find the variance

What did people get for their pmcc value?

I think it was the way you’d do in normal maths but it was not sample but population so 1/n (sum(x^2)-sum(x)^2/n

Also for the tests which one did you’ll do reject or not reject ??

For the variance in the cd q did people use the formula in the formula book for s^2 that we use in regular maths? Or something else

I used it but I used 1/n not 1/n-1 as it was like data for all the stuff on the CD so I woudlnt call it a sample but they may have wanted 1/n-1 not sur e
