My coursework files got corrupted and my deadline was today😭
Hey guys I may have had the worst day in my life and I am so depressed rn my life is going downhill and my chance do to university course are ruined I was so excited for my grades to go through as today was deadline day and my teacher was supposed to put the marks through. I am currently studying a level 3 IT Btec which is a 3 alevel course in college so let me breakdown for you guys I was on distinction level for last year’s coursework and I was maybe a few tasks from getting distinction on this years coursework and this was mostly for all my courseworks and not for maybe 1-2 as they was really hard unit(smodule)
But I was doing well, I had laptop where I was completing work where I completed all of last years work and I got it up to date and the teacher was saying next year you could resubmit it and thats what I did and got it to a distinction level, I was so proud I caught up and got it to a high level but I wasn’t receiving feedback from my teachers which I don’t know I didn’t notice. This must’ve been a random day that week and I opened a old task and I opened it and it appeared to be corrupted I wondered why so I redid that work made sure it was no longer corrupted but little did I know all of last years work which was a merit and distinction level which turned out to be corrupted, I was running with issues signing on with onedrive earlier that year but didn’t think much of it but it wasn’t to the point I couldn’t do my tasks I was still doing them but I thought he was recieving them and kept telling my self he will give me the marks maybe later on as he is marking a class of 30 students work so here comes present day where all coursework marks are going through I’m thinking Im gonna do great for my coursework gonna come out with brilliant grades and do well even though I was predicted pretty bad grades I was beyond what I was predicted but my teachers werent aware of this even though I was a disruptive student which I notice now and who couldnt keep his mouth shut but I know am hardworking student who will at the end of the day get the work done but here comes the final deadline and my teacher is marking off my work which is marked in 3 tiers pass,merit,distinction I was watching him go through his emails where I sent work and I noticed for some of the tasks there was only pass tasks being sent!!!!!???!? I was freaking out and my heart dropped I couldve sworn I sent everything to a distinction level and had the merit tasks done I even found the merit tasks Ive done werent done sent to him I was dying inside speechless and stayed quite and suffered the pain I sat there scared thinking my teachers gonna get mad at me thinking of course im gonna make excuses deadline day what am I supposed to do.
Ps I apologies for this long writing I wrote this in a hurry hoping to get any help.

I don’t know if this will help or if it will if it’s too late but considering that it’s one drive maybe a versions of your work have been deleted in sharepoint. So look at the recycling bin of sharepoint and see if a complete version of your work had been deleted there

Even if I did that my teacher goes to me theres nothing he can do about it as the grades are final Im so sadd😭

Oh No ! All that hard work for nothing perhaps get your parents to call the school and discuss the problem once you find your work? Will this affect your university opportunities? Plz update if anything changes . So sorry friend

Thanks for the reply I have sent an email to my exam board by monday they should reply on what I could do about it and will get in contact with my teacher and try speak to him because this wil affect my universities choices so much that I may not even get into the university or even meet the requirements for foundation year which are low enough.

My thoughts and prayers are with you , truly. Just remember that every new path is a new opportunity. I have a friend that is still going to uni even thou their predicted grades are MPP so miracles can happen. So try your best to stay optimistic. Have a nice summer x
