getting into dentistry after resisting but its the foundation year :(

im 19 and when I sat a level last year 1 got BCC and no offers for dent. now I have an offer for the 6 year dentistry course and dental hygiene and therapy. I'm not sure if I should go for the foundation year because it's like I wasted a year resisting and then it would be another year in the foundation bds. so when I would join the bds year the other students would be 2 years younger than me. so any advice on what should I do? go for dental hygiene instead?

If you already resat then do it, what’s another year to end up doing something you actually want to do.

its definitely worth doing it, lots of dent and med students aren’t fresh from a levels so i really wouldn’t worry :smile:

just go for it . As dentistry was what you wanted to do.
dental hygiene and therapy is also a very good path.
