Wouldn't know about GCSEs but both Oxford and Cambridge frown at A-level resits for Medidine and will only accept them if you have extenuating circumstances.

I’ve been wondering about this for quite some time and I know have some answers for the gcse resits atleast

1.

It depends what uni you apply to, some medical unis accept gcse resits, some don’t

2.

Oxford will care about gcse resits and may be frowned upon as it is gcse heavy, Cambridge however do not as much about GCSEs and are more likely to accept gcse resits especially if you have majority 9s after resits

3.

In general most universities don’t care about gcse resits, however they do care about A level resits unless there are extenuating circumstances eg. You break both your hands before your exam
