I work as a radiographer and have to say that working in X-rays is really busy- even tho I work in a small district hospital yet it’s busy due to the walk in gp service/clinics/inpatients etc. Also if the management is bad and the equipment is old then it does get quite hard. There will be politics where there will be certain people working whilst the others will be sat all day. It gets a lot easier (work wise) when you get into a modality such as MRI/ultrasound etc. I have to say I do enjoy working in X-rays and I do like the job but there are days when I’m really tired and the toxicity between staff members tires you (that’s just my experience and what I saw, personally I keep things to myself at work that’s why I’m not involved in the politics but overall NHS is toxic so I was mentally prepared before I started)
