History A level question

I am doing OCR A level history ( The early Stuarts and the origins of the Civil War + the French Revolution and the rule of Napoleon + Russia and its rulers 1855-1964). Please could someone guide me to any useful revision resources in the form of revision books, youtube channels, websites etc. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

I used the Hodder OCR access to history textbook (second edition) by Andrew Holland for Russia - it goes into a lot of detail and obvs shouldn't be used in isolation but it's a good companion to lessons etc; especially when it comes to revision and needing to find comparisons! Any OCR style revision book/ guide will probably do the job though - it's about getting the knowledge but also the exam technique down and way of thinking, which I think that was good for (i.e. identifying patterns). I can't speak for the other parts of your course though! Good luck

I did Russia and France. For France, the oversimplified videos of YouTube are really good for a base understanding. I had to watch them repeatadly to remember the content before my exam. The ones on the French Revolution and the Napoleon Wars.
For Russia, it is more rote learning and finding patterns (especially for synoptic). I would recommend, once you have been taught synoptic, just to find all the questions you can and ask teachers to make some and just do detailed plans for them.
