maintaining friendships
i’m finishing up my gap year and it’s been really hard to stay in touch with all my friends who moved abroad for uni (which is most of them). time zones are an issue, but i’m also quite introverted and socially awkward, so when we do talk it’s difficult to get past the generic ‘how are u’ ‘how’s school’ questions. how do i maintain my friendships past the surface-level?
