Would I be in the wrong if I did this?

So I'm 18, I'm meant to be housesitting my parents home whilst they go on holiday for 5 days. I don't really mind as I will get some things done in the meantime (no, parties are not my thing and I won't be having one if that's what you're thinking). Whilst they are gone though I want to take the opportunity of going out on the bus, buying food my parents hate the smell of and will probably spend some time in a makeup shop to try stuff on. I don't usually get this chance but I'm worried they would be cross that I left the house, they are also very protective of me. I think they would be fine me going to the shops quickly but would be mad if I took the bus into town for a couple hours. I don't think they'd find out but should I do it?

You are 18. I am currently at home for 5 days as well, I am 18 also, without my family and have zero restrictions (clearly no house parties). I am literally having my friend over, we’re baking, I am heading into London tomorrow all day to get a hair cut, probably do a bit of shopping. It’s totally normal to just head to the shop. It is totally ok, if they’re making you feel like it isn’t perhaps talk to them when they’re back about feeling like you can’t be an adult.
