exam technique URGENT URGENT URGENT

I don't actually do past papers, instead I would just look at the mark scheme and write down the questions and answers on Anki and I would just constantly read over and memorise the answers so that if that same question comes up or a similar one then I know what to do but i'm just wondering is that method actually effective? and should I continue doing that or not?

depends on your subject. some subjects require you to apply your knowledge to different scenarios, and you cant really do that by memorising mark schemes. however, it is good to look at mark schemes to see things the examiner would/wouldnt want to see in an answer.

perhaps you'd be more likely to remember a question you got wrong. Plus, you can easily identify gaps in your learning by doing the questions. You can ask your teacher or the Web to explain what you got wrong, and you can note it down and keep it in a file. Then, when exams are around the corner, you can do the questions you previously got wrong.
