Spoken English GCSE

Which topic do you think would be the best to speak about and could you give tips on what to say about it?

These are what I've narrowed it down to:
1. Explore the potential advancements and ethical considerations of AI.
2. Present a significant historical event and its impact on the present day
3. Should the Voting Age Be Lowered to 16?
4. Should Writing Fake News Be Considered a Crime?
5. Is Shakespeare Overrated?
6. Should Banksy be considered a great artist or a criminal?
7. Are books becoming obsolete?
8. Do celebrities get paid too much?

these are all great topics - do something that you are most definitely interesting in and can actually talk about + make sure your presentation is not solely reading off a board and is actually interactive. asking for opinions can be entirely subjective since everyone has different interestings. however number 1,5,7,8 stick out to me but any would be great 🙂

First and foremost: select the one that resonates with you and that you like the most, or the one that you're most passionate about.

Still not sure? Like the person above, I recommend 1, 3, 5 or 8 as you'll either have information in your brain about these topics from studying for your GCSEs or will know about due to living your life. Make sure you have/research at least one counter-argument to disprove in your speech as well (I would say the ones I've selected have some obvious counter-arguments you can easily include).

Good luck
