Getting into Swansea University CompSci BSc With D*D*D* but with Maths GCSE C

The course requirements for Computer Science BSc and Software Engineering BSc in Swansea University are : "DDD In Computing and Grade B/6 in GCSE Maths"

I have a C in GCSE Maths.
I am expected to get D*D*D* in BTEC Level 3 Computing.
I have relative experience in software engineering and have personal projects that are relatively great (a number of full-stack website such as a Twitter clone, TypeRacer clone and more) and a portfolio website.
My two questions are:
1) Has anyone gotten into a course with an insufficient GCSE?
2) Am I doomed or is there a chance depending on other factors (Availability, etc.)?

If I was to get offered a foundation year, I would most likely choose a different option.
Hi @Anonymous #1, I hope all is well and thanks for getting in touch. It's great to hear you're interested in Computer Science at Swansea Uni!

Yes, a Grade B/6 in GCSE Maths is usually required for entry, unless you are studying Maths at A-level or equivalent.

Are you taking the 'Maths for IT Practitioners' module as part of your Computing BTEC? If so, we can consider making you an offer given the standard of your predicted grades at D*D*D* (kudos).

Otherwise, we may consider flexibility during Clearing, if spaces are available.

Are you looking at 2024 or 2025 entry? Many thanks, Gethin (Future Students Team).
