A-Level combination

Just wondered if I’d have a chance of getting into Edinburgh doing a physics course if I pick maths, physics and classics a-level. I will start with further maths but unsure if I’ll be able to continue it to year 13. I don’t rly wanna let go of essay subjects completely. I’d be willing to do a physics related EPQ.

I don’t know much about Edinburgh and if it’s different to English Universities, however from experience I took Physics, Maths and History in the end for my A-levels and it didn’t hinder my Uni applications.

It’s dependant on the uni but if you too want to look to take a Physics course most require you to take Physics and Maths or further maths and you just need to meet the grade in your third subject which can be your essay subject.

Also, i personally didn’t take epq or further maths due to work load and initially taking four subjects in Year 12. It’s dependent on your work management as it is a lot more work.

The epq is a lot of work for a possible grade drop from talking to people who did it and I personally avoided it due to already having history coursework. I also know people who immediately dropped from further maths to maths but it’s completely up to you.

Thank you good to know because on the website it says just maths and physics but I know it’s competitive. Thank you
